What is the L1 Visa??
The L1 visa is one that is reserved for owners, executives, managers, or supervisors of companies abroad who register a subsidiary company in the United States. If this foreign company wants to transfer one of its high-ranking employees to the USA, they must apply for an L1 Visa to carry out the business operations of the branch registered in North America. The mere fact of registering a company in the United States does not grant any of the partners any type of legal status in the country, which is why they must apply for the L1A visa and thus be able to live and work legally in the United States.
What are the benefits of the L1 Visa??
✧ The executive who is being transferred and their family group (spouse and unmarried children under 21) can live, work, and study in the United States legally.
✧ The L1 Visa offers you the flexibility to enter and exit the United States whenever you want or need to.
✧ Unlike other types of visas, such as the tourist visa, the L1 has no restrictions or limits on stay in the United States.
✧ This type of visa allows the applicant and their family group to apply for permanent residency in the United States in approximately two and a half years, provided that immigration requirements are met.
✧ The processing of this type of visa is much more affordable than other types of visas, such as the E Visa (or investor visa), where immigration asks for a specific investment amount to qualify for it.
✧ The L1 VISA does not require you to make a minimum investment to qualify for it.
✧ There is a clause with this type of visa that allows the subsidiary in the United States to have a different purpose than the parent company in its country of residence. This means that, for example, if you have a construction company in your country of residence, your business in the United States can be, for example, a restaurant.
✧ The L1 Visa allows you to process multiple L1 visas for different executives and their family groups, using the same company.
✧ The L1 Visa process can be done remotely. It is not necessary for you to be physically in the United States throughout the process, nor is it necessary for you to have a tourist visa.
The objective is for the executive to be able to apply for residency within the first two and a half years, before the seven-year period expires. To do this, it's important that the company complies with each and every one of the Immigration requirements, which we, Martorell Office Group Corp, will ensure that you and your company meet.
